Oklahoma, The officers with the Broken Arrow Police Department began the 2013 round of the “Share the Road” civilian motorcycle safety courses. This weekend motorcycle safety course is the first of the several courses planned for the year in Green Country.
According to report of the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office, about 296 people in Tulsa County died in motorcycle crashes in 2011. The six hour class focuses on motorcycle safety, as well as techniques needed to avoid collision. Todd Geiger, the officer assigned as one of the instructors said that the course was out together for civilian riders so that they can gain a little training and experience on how to become better motorcyclists and safer on the road.
