Basic Rider Course
The course is designed for individuals who want to learn the fundamental riding skills and traffic awareness necessary to interact with other road users safely. The motorcycle class covers familiarization with motorcycle controls and operation, followed by the basic riding skills of straight line riding, shifting, turning, and braking. Students will also have the opportunity to practice advanced skills such as limited-space maneuvers, quick-stop drills, obstacle avoidance, and exercises to build confidence. The course is a building-block curriculum that meets the State of Florida requirements for all unendorsed riders, regardless of previous experience. Successful completion of the Basic Rider Course, along with minimum scores on the knowledge and skill evaluations, will earn a waiver of ALL testing at the Drivers License office. To participate in the motorcycle course, students must register online by selecting the appropriate cost and class dates, and providing their name, mobile phone number, and other required information.
