The Motorcycle Safety and Training Center provides classes for all levels of riders, from beginners to intermediate, in a fun yet intense environment that ensures safety. Their mission is to provide patient instruction and make courses enjoyable while promoting lifelong learning.

The team of experienced rider coaches at MSTC brings over 100 years of combined riding experience and multiple MSF certifications. Key members include Paul Syrock (Site Manager), Gerald Muise (Rider Coach with over 15 years of experience), and Ed Upchurch (Veteran Rider Coach).

Basic Rider Course
The Motorcycle Safety & Training Center in Fort Smith, AR and Sallisaw, OK offers a structured program designed for beginners. The Basic RiderCourse is ideal for novices of all ages or former riders looking to refresh their skills. It focuses on teaching safe riding practices, such as operating motorcycles in traffic and handling critical situations.

A 16-hour class with both online learning (5 hours) and practical exercises at a practice range.
No need to own a motorcycle—equipped vehicles and helmets are provided. Traffic-free on the practice range for controlled learning.
Proper riding gear is required, including eye protection, gloves, pants, and shoes.

Recognized by Arkansas and Oklahoma, exempting riders from the written portion of their test in both states.

Experienced Rider Course

The curriculum focuses on critical skills often lacking in accident-involved riders.

Schedule: Begins on either Saturday or Sunday.
Format: Includes both classroom instruction and range exercises.
Requirements: Riders must provide their own street-legal motorcycle and safety gear, including eye protection, full-fingered leather gloves, long pants, sturdy footwear that covers the ankles, a long-sleeved upper garment, and a DOT-approved helmet.

Course Fee: $150.00.
Requirements for MSF Completion Card: Riders must present proof of insurance and a valid driver's license with motorcycle endorsement to receive an MSF completion card.
