FORT WAYNE, Indiana – Motorcycle riders from around the Midwest came to Fort Wayne Sunday to support motorcycle awareness.
During the 24th annual American Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE) Mayor Ride, more than 1,000 riders showed up at the K-Mart plaza on the south side of Fort Wayne. All participants rode to downtown Decatur where there were food and entertainment going all day at Courthouse Square.
The purpose of the ride is to encourage people to use motorcycles as transportation and recreation, but also to raise awareness for motorcycle safety.
