Montevallo MSF Motorcycle Safety Foundation

The Alabama Motorcycle Safety Program offers various training courses through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, including Basic Rider Course ($275), Experienced Rider Course ($125), Advanced Rider Course ($125), and RiderCoach Preparation Course ($500) at locations such as Montevallo, Mobile, Gadsden, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa starting in May 2025. Registration policies include a fee for the course and a requirement to attend on the specified dates. Refunds or rescheduling are not available within 14 calendar days of the class start date due to increasing demand for courses. Missing or being late for any session will result in the student not being allowed to continue, and they will not receive a refund or be rescheduled. If you need to cancel your registration, contact altsc@montevallo.edu or jbrooks5@montevallo.edu or call AMSP at 205-665-6740 M-F 8-5 pm within 14 calendar days for a refund issued by check.

Classroom and Range sessions are held at the Horizon Center. 🏍️ Available Motorcycle Safety Courses Wisconsin offers two primary courses for new and experienced riders, each designed to improve your riding skills and help you earn or maintain your Class M motorcycle license. Check the courses section below. 📝 Waivers and Forms: What You Need to Know Depending on your situation, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation may require you to obtain an MV3575 Proof of Enrollment Waiver before getting a motorcycle temporary permit. You’ll need this waiver if you: Are under 18 years old Have received three temporary permits from the DMV Have failed the DMV’s motorcycle skills test twice How to Request a Waiver: Waivers are issued after course enrollment. Requests must be made at the Kenosha Campus or by calling 262-564-3900. If you fail to attend your course after receiving a waiver, the DMV will be notified, so make sure to show up and ride on! Tip for Students Under 18: Bring a parent or guardian on the first in-person training day to sign the required "Personal Enrichment" form.
